How many of you out there have gone on any one of the big name wholesale directories, paid the membership costs, and have done nothing with anyone listed in the directory? I can count myself among you. I had a membership with one of the big name ones because I read an ebook and the guy that wrote it sent me there. Guess who made money out of the whole deal? The wholesale directory and the guy the sent me there. Not me. Avoid the wholesale directories at all costs. They typically line you up with companies that aren’t doing well, offer a knock off of something that is doing well, or are middle men. You want to go directly to the manufacturer of the product that you plan to sell.
To do this, you need to lower your expectations on what you can sell. You will not EVER be selling Xbox, iPad, ps3, etc. get that through your head now and you’re a head of the game. Concentrate on something that you enjoy, a hobby. For example RC cars. Contact the company that makes the parts you buy and see if they drop ship. Chances are, they do.
